Mermaid Under the Sea

A unique ornament to hang any time of year, give as a gift or save for your collection and the best part is you can leave it out all year round.

The figurine inside is a whimsical mermaid with glittery pearls and beads in her hair and around her waist. I have added many small shells and a bit of sand and a sand dollar to make the inside very realistic. I hand painted sand on the outside bottom of the ornament and also painted coral, a sand dollar, a few starfish, a blue crab and a lovely purple sea urchin. I have added a top adornment with pinecones, a spray of glittery aqua beads and a velvety red poinsettia with a ivory and gold bow.- however - if you want to use it all year round I will change it up to shells and a sea theme. Very unique and special.

Terrarium ornaments are made from high boron silicon glass. I use only glass paint when hand painting my glassware (not oils or acrylics) - the colors stay bright longer and won't flake off. The glass paints used are cured; then oven fired in a Commercial Hi-temp control oven for a professional and durable product. The top adornment is attached with wire and a bit of hot glue.

These unique hand painted terrarium ornaments make a fantastic gift or can be given during the holidays as a new treasure for the tree.
